The Pregnancy Care Center of Catawba Valley Exists to uphold the sanctity of human life by demonstrating the love of Christ to:

  • Women facing unplanned pregnancies and related issues through the provision of spiritual, physical, and emotional support by proclaiming the Gospel.
  • The community-at-large by promoting the Biblical view of sex and marriage through education.

New Jerusalem helps support the Pregnancy Care Center through our loose offering and through our yearly budgeted benevolence offerings.

The Backpack Program serves children in forty+ local schools who face hunger on the weekends in Catawba and Alexander County. Each week school is in session, over 800 children receive a bag full of food weighing up to 7 lbs.

New Jerusalem hosts spring, summer, fall, and winter blood drives each year. We also support the American Red Cross financially through our loose offering.

The Lutheran Women of New Jerusalem donate school supplies to the LWR school kit program to help impoverished children receive an education.

Bolstered by an interdependent network of five campuses, the North American Lutheran Seminary (NALS) is part of God’s movement in this culture, time, and place.  Hundreds will be raised over the next decade– formed in the Great Tradition of confessional and evangelical Lutheran Faith. The NALS is singularly focused on forming pastors and church leaders with an education that is at once shaped by Christian tradition and bound by the Holy Scriptures.

New Jerusalem financially supports the NALS through our budgeted benevolence fund each year.
